Since V is now two and becoming more and more independent everyday, we finally thought it was time to update her room into a big girl room. Since we're renting and can't paint any of the walls (boo!) it makes it a little challenging because there are so many capabilities and options on how her room could turn out. All in all it's probably a good thing because I don't know how I would ever decide on a color! Thank goodness the walls in the house are an eggshell neutral otherwise we'd be in trouble!
If you follow me on Instagram, I posted 4 beds I couldn't decide between and it came down to the Jenny Lind which I'm seeing everywhere and it is darling! And one tufted one from Pottery Barn but for some reason I just wasn't 100% on any of them and couldn't figure out why. Well I stumbled my way somehow over to Pier 1 and saw this mirrored canopy bed marked from $1,000 to $300. Yes you heard, well read, that right. $300!! I was flabbergasted, seriously. After seeing that $1800 price tag at Pottery Barn especially I honestly couldn't believe it and knew it was the bed for V!
We got the twin version of it, and I'm counting the days until it's delivered. It's amazing. It can be a canopy bed, 4 poster bed, or just a regular bed all depending on how the room is styled and whatever your preference is. How cool is that? If you run over now there might still be some left, and they come in 3 other colors too!

V's room is really neutral right now, mostly everything in there is white with the exception of her stuffed animals, her accessories, shoes, books, etc. and because I'm a neutral lover I don't step too outside my comfort zone when redoing a room. (Check out her nursery tour here). However, I really want this space to be her signature space with lots of fun, inviting colors that just yells come in! I did want to work with things she already had like a few of her favorite books, her tassel garland, and her chair that I'm going to redo in that fun dalmatian print! (DIY is coming for that!)
Viv loves Candy Kirby dolls, and so this print of hers was an instant no brainer for us to bring more bright colors into the room. The dollhouse shelf I lost all control over when I spotted it on H&M (can you believe it?!) which totally reminds me of the bigger version we have in the playroom. As for the pillows, I can't stop staring at the watercolor one, and every little girl needs at least one glittery thing in their room and the cloud shape is just dreamy. Viv is also really obsessed with Peppa Pig when she's not going bonkers for Doc McStuffins so a pig is definitely in order for her bed too alongside Doc & Lammy.
As soon as the bed arrives, the real fun begins so I can't wait to get work!
