Another trip around the sun and I feel so blessed and thankful to be celebrating with you guys! I thought turning 30 would hurt a little but I really feel more myself and happier than I ever have been. I celebrated with Chase and the kids earlier in the day and then for an early dinner Chase & I met with some of my closest girlfriends and their husbands which was so nice! This has been my favorite and best birthday so far and I am feeling so loved. I thought it would be fun to share 30 random and fun facts with y'all and would love to know some fun or random facts about you too! Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday and thank you so much for being here!! Love you guys so much!!
1. My first job ever was at Smoothie King.
2. If I hadn't majored in Fashion Marketing/Visual Communications, I probably would want to be a nurse.
3. When I was a kid I used to collect Beanie Babies. I still have a few that I've given
to the kids.
4. I absolutely love 80's & 90's movies. Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club,
The Goonies, Cluless just to name a few. Thank goodness for Disney + so I can rewatch
a bunch of my favorite childhood shows and Disney Originals, haha.
5. I spent most summers of my childhood in Grand Junction, CO where my Grandma (aka. Gmama)
used to live. She always used to take me on her favorite hiking trails where we'd look for dinosaur bones, go to the arches in Utah, and always get ice cream at this place called Graff Dairy that had the best swirled vanilla and chocolate cones. I also used to run through the sprinklers in her backyard and pick cherries from her cherry trees. Some of my best memories are with her and my summers there.
6. I auditioned for MTV's "The Real World" when I was 18. Obviously they
didn't cast me and I consider it to be a blessing I wasn't casted, LOL
7. When I lived in Los Angeles during college, my roommate and I got to go to The Ellen Show 4 times. One of them was during the 12 Days of Giveaways taping and it was so much fun! I can't remember what we won other than a La-Z-Boy couch.
8. Also when I first moved to LA, I saw Brad Pitt in the drive thru at In-N-Out.
9. Chase and I met on Myspace in 2010 and have been married for 8 years. Crazy right?!
10. I'm at Target way too much but I feel like most of you already know this, haha.
11. I'm originally from Mississippi but I was born in New Orleans, LA. I like to think this is probably why you'll never see me pass up crawfish etouffee, gumbo, jambalaya, etc.
12. When I was younger, my celebrity crush was Johnathan Taylor Thomas. He was the only boy I ever had a poster of in my room, hahaha.
13. My favorite place ever is the beach.
14. Fall is my favorite season.
15. I'm a list maker. I seriously don't think I could live without my planner!
16. My middle name is Alexis.
17. I love photography and constantly have to delete photos off my phone because my storage is always full from them.
18. Folding laundry is my least favorite chore.
19. When I was 20, I had my tonsils taken out because I always got strep throat 2/3 times a year for years.
20. I love to organize things! It always put me in a great mood.
21. My mom and I talk/Facetime every single day.
22. I love a good card game or games in general. Phase 10 is my jam! I think I can credit my Gmama again for this because we used to play cards together all the time!
23. Fresh flowers in the house also make me really happy.
24. I have 6 tattoos. 2 of which I love, the other 4 were basically just me being a rebellious teenager.
25. I love meeting new people but I think I'm mostly an introvert. I'm not my complete funny and goofy self until I know someone well enough. After a long day, I need quiet time to recharge or I feel totally overwhelmed.
26. I took dance for 6 years as a kid but quit when I started pointe.
27. In junior high and high school, I played the flute but really hated it. This one time at band camp .. kidding! ;)
28. A Venti Iced chai with 2 pumps of pumpkin, 3 if you like it more spicy, is my absolute favorite drink from Starbucks. The pumpkin syrup is only available in the fall though!
29. NSYNC was my very first concert that I ever went to.
30. My birthday is 7/11 making me a Cancer sign and I have to say it's scary accurate.
